No. Sometimes a referral may come from another health professional but you are welcome to see the podiatrist without one.
Our podiatry services are covered by most private health funds dependant on your policy and level of cover. We have the capacity for claiming for all health funds should you have sufficient coverage. If you are concerned about whether you re covered you will need to speak directly to your health fund.
Medicare is only applicable if you have an extended care plan or EPC from your GP. This is a program designed for those with a chronic illness that requires podiatry intervention.
Please bring all relevant information about your condition, including:
images – X-rays, ultrasounds, MRI’s
letter from GP or Physio if you have one
Footwear – please bring your work shoes, casual shoes and activity shoes. If there is other footwear that is causing discomfort please also bring that along too.
