Online Podiatry Consultations

Online Podiatry Consultations

Did you know that you can access podiatry services online? We provide online assessment, management and planning for you and your leg, foot or ankle concerns. Online consultations have been proven to be as effective as face to face over a 12 week period. So, you can have peace of mind that you get the best results without the challenge of getting to a clinic.

If hands on management is required, online consultations can provide initial assessment and we can advise you about the best management strategy from the comfort of your own home. Alternatively, we can begin your management plan and start you on the pathway to recovery immediately.

We use software that is 100% secure, encrypted and government approved for your personal privacy and safety.

You can have an appointment from the comfort of your home or office and you don’t need to travel to a clinic to be seen and helped. Plus, we provide you with individualised apps where we can monitor your progress as you go, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Online booking is the quickest and most convenient way to organise your appointment. We will hold your hand and ensure you are prepared before, during and after your appointment.

How much does it cost?

We have two tiers of online consultations. Quick advice, complete assessment with follow-up. Our complete assessment and follow-up also provides 24/7 support for your rehabilitation program at no extra cost, it is included as part of your program.

Quick advice provides a brief 10 minute consultation to help provide you with guidance ($25).
Complete assessment allows 1 hour to complete assess, diagnose and begin the treatment for your concern ($65). Follow-up is a shorter appointment and is typically cheaper than your assessment ($45).

What do I need?

Strong internet connection, email address, camera and microphone

Can I use my phone or tablet?

Yes., you absolutely can use your phone, tablet, laptop of computer. If you need to change device midway through the assessment, that is ok too.

What if I don’t have a camera?

That is ok. You will be able to see us but we cannot see you. If we need to see your issue, then we can discuss ways with you to best get access to this?

How do I pay?

Payment by credit care is made before the consultation via our secure online system. Further information about this will be included before your appointment.

Does private health cover online appointments?

At this point in time online appointments are only covered with an Extended Primary Care Plan, subsidised by Medicare. The Australian Podiatry Association is currently in talks with private insurers about covering online consultations.
